Nurse Interview questions: Modifying plan of care for patients
The PCT tells you that one of the nurses on the shift has made some comments about the way you handled a particular patient’s care. What would you do?

 

You are assigned to a 35-year-old patient that has been diagnosed with heart failure. He has a history of smoking and weighs 350 pounds. He needs an IV started and blood drawn for lab tests. You walk into the room and you note he is depressed and has been crying. How would you prioritize your care?

 

You are working with your nurse preceptor to care for a woman that has had a stroke. The plan of care is to get her up for breakfast after you take her vital signs. You enter the room to find the patient on the floor. How would you work with your nurse to modify the plan of care?
