I would agree that an organization can forecast potential opportunities in the environment and if the strengths it has cannot meet these opportunities, build on existing ones or create new ones. I have an example earlier of how the University of New Mexico did this through a high-level planning process. I was the administrator for a children’s cancer research center 20 years ago that was formed to not only research children’s cancers but to take advantage of new technologies and the emerging science from the Human Genome Project (HGP). The Human Genome project  more than any other single project elevated collaboration in the biomedical sciences, leading to many of the advances in knowledge and disease treatment we see today. In fact, the COVID-19 vaccine would not have been able to be developed so quickly without the Human Genome Project and scientific collaboration (NIH, 2020). What do you see as the greatest opportunities in health care coming in the next 10 years?
