Building relationships with clients

Building relationships with clients.

Work role boundaries can unwittingly happen when relationships have been built with the clients. Please read the following. Decide what are the work role boundaries and what your responsibilities would be do if you were in the same situation.

You have been working with a client for 2 years and have built an excellent trusting relationship. The client has recently joined facebook through his phone. He sends you a facebook friend request. Their phone broke and you have just bought a new one, the client knows this and asks you if he can buy it off you cheaply. He is having a birthday in 3 weeks and you wonder if you should give it to him as a present. As a birthday treat you invite him to come to tea with yourself and your partner.
