The provision of percutaneous coronary interventions

The provision of percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) for patients with occlusive cardiac vascular disease has been a growing trend since the procedure debuted in the late 1970s. The nursing continuum of care that ushers the patient through the PCI process can have a large impact on short- and long-term clinical outcomes.

How can epidemiology be used to improve outcomes for patients who have undergone Percutaneous Coronary Interventions?

Epidemiological transition

Select one high-income country (Japan) and one low-income country (Somalia). Address the following points:

What are the top five causes of mortality for each nation?

Which stage of the epidemiological transition do you think each country is in, and why?

What structural factors might be contributing to the disease burden experienced by each country? (Think about health systems-level problems, economic and political determinants, and social/cultural factors as well)

Finally, suggest a strategy for each country that could address their top causes of death (Can be as general or as specific as you’d like- think about investments in health education and health systems, vaccination programs, taxes on certain food products, and the many others brought up in the WHO profiles)

Macro-trends affecting the health workforce

Prompted in part by the ideas presented for the technology innovation project, the Human Resources Committee of the Board of Directors has become increasingly concerned about the ability to identify, recruit, and retain the appropriate skill mix for the organization.

The CEO has designated an interdisciplinary team and asked it to prepare an analysis of current trends and their impact on the organization’s human resources in 2025. More specifically, the CEO relays that the Board Chair has expressed concern about workforce shortages in such key areas as nursing, medical technology, and long-term care.

1) Identifies and discusses the macro-trends affecting the health workforce in Washington, DC, the future of the US healthcare system, including such aspects as the overall economy, demographics, personal lifestyles and behaviors, technology (including biotechnology and smartphones), and federal and state government policies. Note that these factors are neither exhaustive nor are they offered as a mandatory framework; your research will identify macro-trends relevant to your findings.

2) Using the above analysis, identify current and projected occupational shortages for your selected region, efforts to address these shortages, and your recommendations for a solution. Be sure to explicitly link each aspect with the specific trends identified in your analysis.

AHIMA Code of Ethics

Since May, you have been working with a recruiter to obtain a new position in HIM. Your experience includes over ten years in inpatient and outpatient coding, you are an AHIMA-approved ICD-10 trainer, and you have worked with your state association on coding projects over the past two years.

Nothing the recruiter has presented to you has been a good fit, but in late September, the recruiter calls with positions open for coding auditors. You have never done that type of work before, but are confident you could learn, and the recruiter gets you a phone interview. During the conversation, the HIM manager for the organization says that she sees you have been an auditor since May. You immediately recognize that the HIM manager has the wrong impression of your experience. Determine the appropriate course of action in response to the interviewer’s statement. Provide justification based on the AHIMA Code of Ethics.

In-text citation rules

This is where you will apply in-text citation rules, as each paragraph will indicate the reference from which the information is taken. Prepare the Literature Review section of your paper. Begin with an introductory paragraph that describes your search parameters and what databases were used. Be sure to avoid the first person (I, we, me, us, etc.). Include at least one paragraph for each of your sources chosen in your Annotated Bibliography. This is not a repeat of the annotations in the annotated bibliography but should be written as an essay that flows easily from one point to the next.

Remember, your literature review should be at least seven paragraphs (eight for full credit on the final paper), but not more than twelve paragraphs. Each paragraph should be at least three sentences in length, but only contain one or two main points and support. Review your APA resources for how to properly cite references in your text. This is where you will apply in-text citation rules, as each paragraph will indicate the reference from which the information is taken.

Also prepare your reference page. Please review your APA resources as mentioned previously. Submit the entire document. However, only the literature review and reference page will be graded in this module

Please answer my question with properly according to question

Auditory hallucinations

Alert & oriented X 3, speech clear, coherent, goal-directed, spontaneous. The self-reported mood is “sad”. The affect was somewhat blunted, but the child smiled appropriately at various points throughout the clinical interview. He denies visual or auditory hallucinations. No delusional or paranoid thought processes were noted. Judgment and insight appear to be age-appropriate. He is not endorsing active suicidal ideation but does admit that he often thinks about himself being dead and what it would be like to be dead.

The PMHNP administers the Children’s Depression Rating Scale, obtaining a score of 30 (indicating significant depression)

Healthcare policy change

Considering the Policy Process (Chapter 7 – Berkowitz in Mason, Levitt, & Chaffee), appraise a recent healthcare policy change on your unit or in your organization using the Policy Process.  This discussion may also present for you an opportunity to reflect back on a “burning question” that you may have as a nurse.

  1. Problem:  What was the basis for the policy change?  What was the problem? How was it identified?
  2. Evidence-based rationale: What evidence was used to determine the problem was significant enough to result in a change?
  3. Options:  Were there alternative options for consideration prior to developing the policy? How was the policy implemented?
  4. Stakeholder Involvement: Who was informed and educated about the decisions and issues surrounding the problem, issue, and policy?
  5. Implementation: What were the actions and steps to implementation?
  6. Evaluation:  Did the policy work (resolve the problem it was designed to address)?  Were there any unintended consequences of the policy?  How likely will the policy impact change on the unit, in the organization or in your practice?

please put reference.
