Myoglobin transports O₂ to the tissues and hemoglobin transports CO₂ to the lungs. Myoglobin transports CO₂ to the tissues and hemoglobin transports O₂ to the lungs. There is no difference in the functions of myoglobin and hemoglobin, only in their structures.
