  • Adjust frequency and amount of feeding according to infants’ response. 

 

  • Suggest monitoring infants’ body temperature, weight and nutrient intake periodically. 

 

  • To improve the nutritional status of the premature infant, an NG tube is inserted and expressed or donor breast milk is given.
