Total Paralysis of the lower limb

An individual experiences a fall accident in this case a fall from a coconut tree and experiences total paralysis of the lower limb, his upper body is functional. If there is any damage to a cell, shouldn’t it be a nerve cell that would be damaged as a result of a spinal cord injury? Are skeletal muscle cells damaged too?

PS: it’s not indicated that the individual suffered a damage to the legs or bled or raptured a vessel.
