Care delivery models, staffing, and scheduling

This module reviewed nursing care delivery models, staffing, and scheduling. There are several methods for designing staffing models which then, in turn, support the development of a schedule. Using your experiences to this point, answer the following:

1- Which nursing care delivery models have you seen in your clinical hospital rotations?

2- Are hospitals required to have a staffing plan? How does acuity drive staffing?

3- Have you observed any adverse outcomes for a patient related to staffing, if so what?
