He says he’s taken Mucinex OTC the past 2 nights to help him breathe while he sleeps.

When you ask if the Mucinex has helped at all, he sneers slightly and gestures that the improvement is only minimal. Richard is alert and oriented. He has pale, boggy nasal mucosa with clear thin secretions and enlarged nasal turbinates, which obstruct airway flow but his lungs are clear.

His tonsils are not enlarged but his throat is mildly erythematous

NB

-Please make up the information needed to do your Focused/Episodic Soap note.

-To say N/A is not acceptable.

-For ROS and PE, you do not have to Review all the systems, only the ones that are related to the CC. Always review and examine the Resp and CV system no matter the complaint.

**You will need to put in (MAKE UP) the missing information in the note (some of the information you will have to MAKE UP ie meds, hx, parts of the ROS and PE). I’m looking to make sure you know what information to include.

In the Assessment/Plan, you will document your differential diagnoses as per the assignment.

-YOU WILL MAKE UP INFORMATION IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THE SUBJECTIVE AND OBJECTIVE INFORMTION.

– Use Template Below.

  • What is DSM5 criteria that must be met through subjective and objective data for the accurate diagnosis of ADHD?
  • What information/resources would you use to discuss this diagnosis?
  • What information would you provide to educate parents/caretakers regarding etiology and symptoms of ADHD?
  • What treatment options would you discuss with the parents/caretakers?
  • What non-pharmacological treatment has been useful in treating children with ADHD? Why is it helpful?
  • What are the long-term effects on the brain of children who have used medication for ADHD? What are the possible long-term benefits and negative impacts of those medications on both the brain and body overall?

For this assignment Research a healthcare organization or network that spans several states within the United States (United Healthcare, Vanguard, Banner Health, etc.). Assess the readiness of the health care organization or network you chose in regard to meeting the health care needs of citizens in the next decade.

Prepare a 1,000-1,250 word paper that presents your assessment and proposes a strategic plan to ensure readiness. Include the following:

  1. Describe the health care organization or network.
  2. Describe the organization’s overall readiness based on your findings.
  3. Prepare a strategic plan to address issues pertaining to network growth, nurse staffing, resource management, and patient satisfaction.
  4. Identify any current or potential issues within the organizational culture and discuss how these issues may affect aspects of the strategic plan.
  5. Propose a theory or model that could be used to support implementation of the strategic plan for this organization. Explain why this theory or model is best.

You are walking past Mrs Jackson’s room and discover that she has fallen out of the bed onto the floor where she is crying quietly and trying to get up. You assist Mrs Jackson onto a chair as she keeps saying over and over, “I’m alright”. Explain how the regulatory environment and the regulations selected differ from California. Be specific and provide examples.

Advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) play a significant role in improving health
care delivery (Martsolf et al., 2015). However, the scope of practice is governed by state-specific
regulations determined by APRN board of nursing regulation. In the state of Oregon,

one of the
APRN board of nursing regulations is the Oregon Chronic Opioid Prescribing Guidelines which
recommends the safe use of opioid medications for patients with chronic pain.

The other
regulation is the Scope of Practice Decision Tree, which presents a standardized framework for
use for all licensed nurses (Oregon State Board of Nursing, n.d.).

These nursing regulations in Oregon share some similarities and differences with the
regulations in other states. For instance, the Oregon Chronic Opioid Prescribing Guidelines are
similar to those of Ohio’s Prescriptive Authority described in chapters 4723-9 of the Ohio
Administrative Code.

This code provides regulations for prescribing opioids for acute, sub-acute
and chronic pain. However, the difference between Oregon’s and Ohio regulations is that Ohio
provides a formula for APRN prescribers while Oregon does not.

The other difference is that
Ohio has a specific decision-making model for APRNs (Ohio Board of Nursing, n.d.). Oregon,
on the other hand, has the Scope of Practice Decision Tree, which provide a framework for all
nurses irrespective of their education, role or functions (Oregon State Board of Nursing, n.d.).

The Oregon regulations may apply to advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs)
differently.

The Scope of Practice Decision Tree regulation applies to APRNs because it outlines
their scope of practice.

According to Blair and Jansen (2015), the scope of practice is essential
for APRNs because it helps nurses gain more knowledge.

Opioid Prescribing Guidelines are
essential because they identify the extent to which APRNs can prescribe. Ladd et al. (2019)
argued that the scope of practice and prescriptive authority is the function of state statute.
