Directions:  You will be adding audio to your PowerPoint (PPT). Many laptops feature an integrated microphone, but you can also use a headset or headphones that have a microphone.

 

  1. Select a vulnerable population that interests you from the many groups you identified and discussed throughout this course. NO DOMESTIC ABUSE POPULATION. Much of the information you have researched in previous assignments should provide valuable insight into this PowerPoint presentation, demographics, characteristics, issues, health behaviors, etc.
  2. for a specific person within the selected vulnerable population. This person can be formed in your imagination, so be creative.  Use the grading rubric to develop the slides for your Case Study PPT.
  3. Once your PPT is complete, you will add an audio script for each slide in your presentation. Your voice-over script will actually be your presenter notes located in the “notes” section at the bottom of each slide. Record in a quiet environment away from distractions to reduce background noise. Avoid reading the slides word-for-word.  Remember, your slides are an illustration of your presentation, not the presentation itself.  Further explanation of your slides is in your presenter notes. Take this opportunity to provide rich detail and enhance your presentation.
  4. Use the following instructions to help you add audio to your PowerPoint Presentation.
    • Open your final PPT document. At the top, click on “Slide Show.” A drop-down menu will appear. Click on “Record Slide Show.” Select “Start at the beginning of the slide show” or “start with current slide.” You will be given options to Record-Stop-Replay..  It is easier to record one slide at a time.
  5. Once you have completed your voice-over, submit your PowerPoint in .pptx format.
