Which of the following statements best describes electrochemical equilibrium At?

Which of the following statements best describes electrochemical equilibrium?

electrochemical equilibrium, there is no net current flowing across the plasma

membrane.

The

equilibrium potential is a membrane potential when the net current is positive

(e.g., positive charged ions diffusing into neurons).

At

electrochemical equilibrium, there is neither any diffusion force nor any

electrical force associated with permeate ions.

The

equilibrium potential is a membrane potential when the net current is negative

(e.g., positively charged ions diffusing out of neurons).

The

equilibrium potential for neurons is zero millivolts.

Pharmacoepidemiology observational study where immortal bias influenced the effects of a particular drug

identify 1 pharmacoepidemiology observational study where immortal bias influenced the effects of a particular drug.

II) than Write brief description summary of that study:

a. Including information on the study design, source of the immortal bias, impact of the bias on the results of the study and some of the proposed solutions to the problem, i.e.,  through adjustments that would have been made during design or analysis stages.

Name three epidemiologic features of smallpox that made it a good candidate for eradication

Name three epidemiologic features of smallpox that made it a good candidate for eradication.

My understanding were these three from NIH article:

1) cases could be identified because smallpox is a clinically evident disease and there is no subclinical illness;

2) the disease moves relatively slowly— transmission does not occur during prodrome and maximum transmission is at the time of substantial illness;

3) the vaccine is highly effective.

I was wondering if anyone else could help me understand if there were other epidemiological features that assisted with the eradication for smallpox. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

The health care industry

What if the health care industry ran like a retail business, where people had access to any service they wanted and paid the going rate, whatever that was? Their health insurance would pay the average going rate and the consumer would pay the difference (if any) or get credit (if the price was lower than the average). The consumer could shop around, perhaps work out a “deal”, and maybe even change behaviors to limit the need for health care.

What would be the pros and cons of running health care like retail? Would any group lose in the process?
