Effective tools for Communicating risk assessment

Bow-Tie Analysis is one of many effective tools for communicating risk assessment. BTA not only identify the actions, inaction and gaps leading up to the error or violation, the BTA also diagrams specific factors in the resolution of the violation.

State a specific legal or ethical violation.

Examine the violation by applying the BTA or provide another specific example of an effective tool that HCO’s use for risk assessment.

Provide a reference for the method you choose. Describe your method and contrast it with the BTA. As HCO managers, which assessment tool would you implement to prevent this violation and why? Provide specifics on how the method would help your organization.

Is there any setting that the BTA or risk assessment tool would not work?

•  report on how you could use Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander interpreters and colleagues as cultural brokers when liaising with an elder or persons approved of by relevant local community elders.

• Assume that an elder or persons approved of by relevant local community elders reviewed your plan and the proposed outcomes.

They asked you to include more information about the types of Aboriginal art forms you could use in facilitating the session thus reducing texts in the resources and conveying messages through pictures and videos.

Identification of a Population in a Selected Community

During this Week 1 Identification of a Population in a Selected Community, you will identify a population at risk in a selected community. This population will be the basis for the Capstone Discussion Forum in Canvas and also the final project/paper for Capstone.

A few indicators of a population would be those identified in your Community Assessment as vulnerable populations, or those at risk, for example the homeless, adolescents, pregnant, elderly, and those with associated health problems such as diabetes, STDs, malnutrition, cancer, obesity, cardiovascular disease, lung disease, etc

To start your search and interest you might look at your community assessment, or look at information in your local public health department websites, the CDC, (CDC Wonder databases and Healthy people 2020, 2030) and other evidence-based websites that the CDC supports.

Address the following points:

Briefly describe the selected community and practice setting, the determinants of health, and health problems that are magnified. What population is most at risk and that you have identified. Define the population and particular issues related to health risks and problems.
