Delivery of health care services, how the government finances each piece of health care, how the health system is managed and who provides care, all play a role in the sustainability of our current healthcare structure.

I want you to focus on one specific area this week and really dig into its effectiveness. Even the best care can benefit from constructive feedback, so propose a potential solution or improvement ideas to help benefit our current status.

Healthcare reform is meant to improve the quality of care, what has been your own personal experiences or findings?

Did you know the U.S has the most expensive healthcare system, yet it is the least effective compared to other nations?

Give your evidence based opinions, related to your community, families, and experiences.

Discuss the implications of the client choosing not to use available support because they believe their capabilities are stronger than reality.

On this course’s journey, we have identified the significance of the evidence-based practice process and the steps to facilitate answering a clinical question. Now is your opportunity to bring all the course concepts into this final project. Throughout your nursing practice you may be involved in various research projects that address various clinical issues at your place of practice.

There is a standard template used to showcase the research as well as the impact on client and organizational outcomes. Follow the directions to develop a research poster.

Tasks 1) Identify a clinical issue in nursing that needs improvement and the rationale of implementing a change. 2) Design an effective PICO on the clinical topic using the techniques explained in the previous modules.

3) Conduct a literature search to identify two practice guidelines from the following databases (AHRQ, CINALH, Pubmed etc.) that can be used to improve the clinical problem. 4) Use a to summarize the PICO, background of the clinical topic, methods, and results.

5) Summarize conclusions from the research and recommendations to answer how implementing the best evidence can benefit clients, nursing staff, and a hospital organization.
