Cellular compartment

Some enzymes are only found in one cellular compartment, but other enzymes are found in more than one place. One example is malate dehydrogenase, which is found in both the cytoplasm and the mitochondrial matrix. 1) Explain the role of mitochondrial malate dehydrogenase.
