Delivery of patient care

One important aspect of interprofessionalism is for all team members to have the ability and confidence to contribute to decisions about patient care regardless of hierarchy/profession-based boundaries. How do hierarchies affect the delivery of patient care? Also, how can you be mindful of hierarchies or traditional boundaries between professions in the future?
