Female full code allergy to ciprofloxacin
I need a reflective journal about a patient that I take care of. My patient was a 74 years old female full code allergy to ciprofloxacin. She came to the hospital because her husband found her unconscious and unresponsive. He called the EMS right away. He also stated that she’s not alert and oriented to time, herself, events, and days sometimes. But when I was taking care of her days after her admissions, he read her documentation.
Her nurse noted that she was getting better in reminding things, her name, and she’s more alert. She has a past medical history of type 2 diabetes, and hypertension which is being controlled by meds, hernia, and asthma she was on a 2L nasal cannula. In my shift, I took her blood glucose 3 times it was a normal level, and her vitals were normal to expect for her blood pressure didn’t improve at all. That’s pretty much about her.
