How important is it to have a cohesive unit as a nurse or certified nurse assistant

How important is it to have a cohesive unit as a nurse or certified nurse assistant in which all members are willing to participate equally in the care of the patient? How important is it for a nurse to humble themselves and be willing to do the task of ancillary staff?
