Find cleaning supplies and laundry supplies in your home. Using flyers or searching online compare the prices of specific cleaners, as well as the list of active ingredients that clean surfaces and clothing. Ask yourself the following questions:

1. 1. How do the prices compare for the same items from store to store? What have you learned about the need to comparison shop?
   2. Are the ingredients for one brand of cleaning item similar to those listed for another brand? How do the prices compare?
   3. What more environmentally friendly products could you use as substitutes for some name-brand cleaning products?
