The Ongoing nursing shortage
This effort is to assess a hypothesis that through such programs there will be greater recruitment of nurses during the ongoing nursing shortage. The project is based on a PICOT question that states there is a need to recruit and retain nurses through a paid internship program to mediate the nursing shortage.
During the implementation there will be phases such as analysis, permission, selling to the audience, clarifying interventions, and expected outcomes.
The study will be quntitative so we can find out the percetge that supports or does not. Number will be give the answer. The PICOT Question is:
Does the participation in a newly qualified nurse residency or student internship program (P) in a hospital to improve training, retention, and mentorship (I) compared to no participation (C), help to retain new nurses (O) within the first year of hire (T)?
I’m using the Iowa model and doing a pilot study So what type of t test or should it be something else?
