Can violence in the media affect a person’s health? Violence involves physical force or intimidation that is used to hurt, damage or take the life of someone or something. Violent or aggressive behavior can stem from a multitude of things, including alcohol and drug abuse, mental illness, underlying trauma, frustration, anger, and even witnessing or being exposed to violence. As you may have noticed, the news, movies and films, video games, and other sources of media can be full of violence. Do you think violence should be censored in the media? Why or why not?
