Physical examination for school

Julie, an 11½-year-old girl, and John, a 14-year-old boy, are siblings had a physical examination for school. Julie grew over 3 inches in height and John grew about half an inch in last one year. “She’s almost as tall as I am, and I’m older than she is,” John says. That’s not right. I’m the shortest of my group of friends. “Am I destined to be short?”
When the nurse assesses Julie and John, what differences in physical growth and development do you think she’ll find?
What information should the nurse include in her response to John’s concern about his height?
