At a larger scale, proposed developments must be studied for what visual impacts are made to the scenic attributes and changes in the human visual experience of the landscape. Visual Impact Assessment is the analysis of the potential visual impacts to the landscape and landscape views resulting from a proposed development or land management action.

Are there any frameworks / principles / regulations for visual impact assessments in Southern California?  Discuss what is found. Are there any aspects of the native landscape palette that has guided these decisions?
