Small bowel resection

Ms. Kola has been scheduled for small bowel resection next week. She has a history of diabetes. She has an order for GoLytely for bowel prep. Starting at 2000. She will be NPO after midnight the day before surgery. As her primary care nurse, discuss with Ms. Kola the preoperative and postoperative care and information she must know until her day of discharge.
