The population growth rate in overdeveloped countries

Read the “Too Many People” chapter of “The Population Bomb” and answer these questions.

1. A lot of Ehrlich’s concern is directed at what he calls (the old-fashioned term) “underdeveloped countries”. But he doesn’t exactly let “overdeveloped countries” like the U.S. off the hook. He argues that even if the population growth rate in overdeveloped countries is low, we are still overpopulated. He gives three reasons; explain them.

2. At the end of the chapter, what is the solution he proposes to stop the “population bomb” from becoming a true crisis? It’s a two-word term: restate it, and elaborate on what he means by it.
