The Unfolding case study

This discussion is based on the unfolding case study. Initial Post: Using the assigned readings and internet resources, select two out of the three following questions to discuss in your initial post. 1. Phil and Lois each deal with chronic illness(s).

Explain how each of the spouses’ conditions align with the Corbin Strauss Trajectory of Chronic Illness.

2. Calculate and explain how you would determine Phil’s level of caregiver role strain.

3. Identify indicators of the quality of care provided by Phil, considering factors such as his knowledge, skills, and relationship with his spouse. Use his responses to identify strengths and issues the nurse would use to plan interventions for the couple.
