To accept Violence in the healthcare system

Healthcare providers have been conditioned to accept violence in the healthcare system as an inevitable part of the job. Nurses can help change this culture by raising awareness of the prevalence of healthcare violence and its impact on victims and their families and by advocating for policies and programs to reduce violence (Bruce & Nowlin, 2011).

This will help reduce the number of patients who are survivors of healthcare violence, reducing the organizational burden of providing care to these patients. It will also improve the quality of care for patients who are survivors of healthcare violence, improving the health and well-being of the organization as a whole.
