Creating oxygen via The process of photosynthesis

The word “algae” refers to a wide variety of organisms capable of creating oxygen via the process of photosynthesis. There is no guarantee that these creatures are connected to one another. However, they share key characteristics that set them apart from the other main group of photosynthetic organisms.

Algal blooms spark debates as to whether they can be safe or unsafe for the oceans, with many people perceiving them as unsafe, contrary to scientific research.

Algae is good for the ocean in a number of ways. It is only that people do not perceive it as a good thing. The phenomenon known as nutrient contamination is the primary factor in the formation of algal blooms. As a result of nutrient pollution, there is an abundance of nitrogen and phosphorus in the environment.

This may encourage algae to proliferate uncontrollably. The phenomena may be traced back to a wide range of actions carried out by humans. (Vidyasagar, 2016).

Because they absorb energy from the sun, carbon dioxide, and water, algae are a crucial component of a balanced marine environment. Algae build organic molecules by using the energy that they have obtained. This cycle contributes to the preservation of the ocean’s delicate ecological equilibrium (Deep Dive).

Eutrophication is the process by which an excessive amount of nutrients accumulates in aquatic ecosystems as a result of anthropogenic sources. These nutrients are primarily rich in phosphorous and nitrogen, and their accumulation causes a series of changes in the structure and function of aquatic ecosystems that lead to a decline in the quality of the water (Vítová, 2019).

Value of one Variable

As the text says, Mathematically, a relation of each value of one variable (x) to a value of another variable (y) is called a function. One says that “y is a function of x”, meaning y’s value is based on, or comes from, x’s value.

I want you to think of your responses in terms of variables that change base on another variable.

The short passage about Sophie and the zoo

Instructions: Read the short passage about Sophie and the zoo: My name is Sophie. I like going to the zoo. Do you think you can see all these animals in one place? It’s unbelievable. I went to the zoo all over the world. The zoo in Japan had nice pandas, the zoo in the United States had live dolphins, and the zoo in Spain had tamarins that looked like monkeys.

My favorite zoo is The Palmyra Zoo. This zoo is in the southwest of the France near the city of La Rochelle. My family and I go to Palmyra on weekends in June.

At the zoo we see a lot of animals. My favorite animals are birds. I go to see ostriches and flamingos. My sisters prefer reptiles. They go to see turtles and snakes. Disgusting! Finally we will see the lions and tigers. They look nice. We never visit animals that live in the water because my mother is afraid of water.

The heat exchanger

During the day, water runs through the product chiller, the pipes, and the heat exchanger to help cool the chickens. At night hot, soapy water runs through the tubing, CIP tank, and heat exchanger in a loop to clean the tubing. This is why we call this a Clean in Place tank. The image below shows both the machine that cools the chickens and the pipes used for the heat exchange.

The pipe distance to the CIP tank is 100′ and the pipe distance away from the CIP tank is 100′. All pipes have a 3″ diameter. There are 11 elbows on the heat exchange unit. Each of these elbows has a length of 12″. Each tube in the heat exchange is 10′ long and there are 12 of them. You have to determine what size CIP tank to use so that there is always water running through the pipes with some in the tank.

1. The CIP tank must be filled with enough hot soapy water to clean the entire run of tubing. Industry standard is to size the CIP tank at least 15% more than the volume of the tubing so that there will be some water left in the tank after the tubes are filled. What size CIP tank should you put on the machine?

2. If the height of the tank is 3′, recommend CIP tanks with 2 different sets of dimensions.

This is all in the information given.
