All Forms of birth control

Please differentiate between all forms of birth control: oral (tri-phasic, bi-phasic), ring, Injection, IUD, etc. Why would you choose to prescribe a tri-phasic over a bi-phasic?

1. Also, why would you choose ring/injection over oral or IUD over all other forms?

Focus on symptoms management, disease state management, and when one form would be better over the next.

1. What are some adverse drug reactions that can occur when all birth control is stopped/removed and changed (think hormone depletion)?
