Stress incontinence during ambulation

The physician ordered the removal of an indwelling catheter on the third postoperative day for a patient who had a prostatectomy. The patient admits to the nurse that he is experiencing small amounts of stress incontinence when he ambulates. The patient worries that this will be permanent, explain what the nurse should do.
